i also tried putting 2pi in decimal for as the answer but i got it wrong , i only have 1 try left, pleasae explain it to me
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the answers i got that were wrong are 6.2832, 0.7308 ,and 0.9983
OpenStudy (anonymous):
here is a hint that was given after 3 tries
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
Alrighty, so first, what is the derivative of sinx?
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Are you using a TI-83 or -84 calculator, by any chance?
OpenStudy (mathmale):
@fibonaccichick666: skullofreak is apparently offline.
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
....ugh hate that...
OpenStudy (mathmale):
Same here. thanks for your many contributions. Over and out!

sorry, i had to go to class! there derivative of sin(x) is cos(x)

so now, at x=0 what is the value of the derivative?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hmm isnt it 0?
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
no... this is something you have to memorize so google it
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh wait like on the graph of cos x? when x=0?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok

and then commit it to eternal memory
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
but yes f'(0)=cos(0) that's just terminology
OpenStudy (anonymous):
at x=0 its 1
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
so the answer is?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1?

yup
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
now why
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but it asks for a decimal answer?
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
1.000 that is a 'decimal' answer
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
just a simplified one

basically they said it to throw people off
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thats my problem :( cause it says x is in degrees?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oh !
OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):
that doesn't matter
OpenStudy (anonymous):
wow thank you!

np so yea, it was just asking for the value of the derivative at x=0 or written as the value of f'(0) they mean the same thing
