OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the slope of the line? (-7,-2) and (4,1)

OpenStudy (kainui):

Slope is the change in the y-value divided by the change in the x-value. So if we call slope the letter "m" then: \[m= \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}\] So just pick one point as point 1 and the other as point 2 and then just subtract the y parts and the x parts and divide them!

OpenStudy (muzzack):

well we know that to find out the slope of two form we use the \[y_{2} - y _{1} \div x _{2} - \]

OpenStudy (muzzack):

\[x\]

The answer would be 3/11
