OpenStudy (jacobbenvenutty):

A participial phrase is always used as an adjective phrase to modify a noun or pronoun. So an example would be "Walking rapidly", we reached the town in fifteen minutes. Instead of just saying we reached the town in fifteen minutes. Another example is Bob, "annoyed by Joe's question", answered him impatiently. Instead of just saying Bob answered him impatiently. So with those examples what do you think the answer is?

It's B
