Wow, I wish I could write these signs in my computer. Well... When you have a root sign with a number behind it, in this case 4, the first thing you do is move the number to the front of the sign and reciprocate the denominator. So, the 4 moves to the front and instead of being 4/1, it becomes 1/4. Now you can get rid of the root sign. (9)^1/4 is the same thing as saying 4^(root sign) 9. So you do that with the denominator, and you get a totally new problem! ((9)^1/4)(3) / (9^5)^(1/4) The three is there in the numerator because I simplified the uncomplicated root-9. Looks like the answer is 0.43. A is the closest choice. Am I right? :D
