OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Don't know what your text has covered. De jure segregation is based on law. A law that provides for separate changing facilities for men and women at a gym would be de jure segregation. De facto segreatation is based on fact, or what actually happens. If you would not change in to exercise clothes in front of men no matter what the facilities available, that's de facto segregation.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

So what's with exercise cloths (wondering)?

OpenStudy (tanya123):

@wwhitlock

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

exercises clothes. What you would wear to work out. Gym clothes.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

Of course I know what is that... What I'm asking is the concept of gym clothes?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

It's just an example that helps illustrate. I have no idea what examples are in your text. So I picked one that I was sure wouldn't be there. The concepts are the same. If you'd like, tell me what examples are in the text and I'll help you come up with an example you're more comfortable with.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

No that's fine ! Thank you very much @wwhitlock
