Write a compound inequality to represent all of the numbers between -4 and 6.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

do you mean between -4 and 6, not including -4 and 6? Well, to give you an example, "all numbers between -2 and 10" would be written as \(\Large\color{red}{ \sf -2<x<10}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{x | x > -4} {x | x < 6} i got this

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

In a set builder notation... You wrote it as 2 different sets though... because what you wrote is |dw:1397054872971:dw| See, you have to limit the x in some boundries. saying \(\Large\color{red}{ \sf -4<x<6}\) would be better.

ok i got it thanks

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Also, you can use some latex in equation editor (it looks like \(\large\color{ white }{\large {\bbox[5pt, royalblue ,border:2px solid ]{ ∑~\sf ~Equation }}}\) )
