The idea that all organisms share the same genetic code is used as an argument for a common origin for all life. Which of the following is evidence that supports this claim?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Organisms of different species may have different numbers of chromosomes, but they will have the same number of genes. The DNA of all organisms mutates in a predictable manner and at approximately the same rate, regardless of species. Transcription and translation always occur in the cytoplasm of the cell, regardless of which domain the organism is classified into. When a DNA sequence from one species is inserted into a different species, the same amino acid will be produced.
