HELP ME NOW ILL DO ANYTHING PLEASE

OpenStudy (j2lie):

is this geometry?

OpenStudy (j2lie):

what do you in this problem?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Triangles SQR and TQP are congruent by ASA.

OpenStudy (ranga):

I can try.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I think you might have helped me before but so many people were saying stuff I got confused lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ranga

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ms. Cain you aren't just going to get answers.... you will get helped but not answers deliberately

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know lol. How'd you know my last name?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should blur it out on your screenshot lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh lol oops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ranga can you help?

OpenStudy (ranga):

What can you say about angle ACB and angle GCE? What can you say about angle DEF and angle GEC?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they're vertical angles

OpenStudy (ranga):

They are vertical angles and therefore they are equal. angle ACB = angle GCE angle DEF = angle GEC How about angle ABC and angle DEF?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They're... equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

congruent?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes they are equal but how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm... idk

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes, triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF (given) and therefore angle ABC = Angle DEF.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okayy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so ABC and GEC are similar by aa?

OpenStudy (ranga):

So far we have: angle ACB = angle GCE --- (1) angle DEF = angle GEC --- (2) angle ABC = angle DEF (replace angle DEF in (2) with angle ABC) angle ABC = angle GEC --- (3) From (1) and (3) we have two angles of triangle ABC equal two triangles of triangle GEC. The third angle must also be the same because three angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. angle BAC = angle EGC. Three angles of one triangle is equal to three angles of the other triangle and so the triangles are similar.

THANK YOU

OpenStudy (ranga):

You are welcome.
