Is square root 1 minus sine squared theta = cos Θ true? If so, in which quadrants does angle Θ terminate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the answer is True; quadrants I & IV, can anyone confirm?

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

\[\cos^{2}x + \sin^{2}x = 1\]

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

That's true for all angles I believe...

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Because the values of cosine and sine will be squared, so the answer will always be positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

False True; quadrants I & IV True; quadrants II & III True; quadrants I & III These are my choices.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Err, not sure what it means when the angle terminates. But that property should work for all angles lol

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Then 'false' would be my answer.
