I'm giving medals. Which statement best explains why in the early days of colonization, Native American tribes did not band together to fight European conquerors and settlers? Native American tribes competed for resources and were independent of each other. European missionaries had convinced most Native Americans that fighting was wrong. Native American tribes did not know how to communicate with one another very well. European conquerors and settlers were kind to Native Americans when they first arrived.
Native American tribes often spoke different languages, especially since they were very spread out. European missionaries taught Native Americans Christianity. Even if they tried to teach Native Americans that fighting was wrong, it is unlikely that they were convinced. Some European conquerors pretended to be kind at first, but is that a good explanation of why tribes didn't eventually band together? With this information, what do you think the answer is?
is it C?
