Medal to who gives the most detailed answer!!!!!!!! which pair of points forms a vertical line segment? A. (-3,5) (5,-3) B. (4, -2) (4,3) C. (-8,1) (5,1) D. (2,3) (-2,5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello @TheOcean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me a sec.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

little tricky

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok first make a gragh labeld from 1 to 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any 2 points with the same x, form a vertical line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the reason why the slope of vertical line is undefined, because look at the slope formula... (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) in a vertical line x1 and x2 will always be same and you will always have a zero on the bottom which makes it undefined.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well make a grauph. i tried butr failed. 1 sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheOcean , no need for graphing, just look for a pair of points that have same x coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@noahs686 yes, it's B!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks give the ocean a badge just to do it she tried to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i was trying to find a graph paper srry bout tht

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use a graphing calculator on https://www.desmos.com/calculator (sign up, gmail and password, to be able to save your work) or any other graphing calculator on https://www.google.com/#q=graphing+calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

igot another question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oopsy well i thought i could do a good description of the result. go ahead and ask @noahs686

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a square has a perimeter of 12 units. one of it's vertices is at (5, -2. which of the following are possible coordinates of another vertex? recall that perimeter is the sum of the lengths of the sides A. (9,-2) B (8,-2) C. (5,5) D. (5,-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its hard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm ya it is. what grade are you even in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tht must be further into the year. i am taking online k12 classes and i am also in 6th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

connexus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was supposed to take k12 but my mom got mixed up with k12 and connexus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

their exactly alike

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so can you figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably
