HELP D: How did farming change from the first Industrial Revolution to the second Industrial Revolution? Farm production increased as more and more farmers moved from the cities to seek work. Technology improved and fewer farmers were needed to produce the population's food. New tools made it necessary for more people to move to rural lands to maintain farms. Farming began to dominate the U.S. economy as improved technology decreased production.
I would say C since there was a "rush to the great plains" and there where new technology.. tho i'm not to sure.
@wotseit do you know this? sorry for bothering :(
In the second Industrial Revolution, there was a large migration of people from rural areas to urban areas. However, there was also too many people and not enough jobs in urban areas, sending people back to farms (the Homestead Act also encouraged this, as it provided free land). So this is a maybe. While B is true, this was not a change from the first industrial revolution to the second industrial revolution. This has always been true for either revolution, so this is out. New tools meant less people and less workers were needed to work on farms. C is out Improved technology INCREASED food production, not decreased. D is out. This leaves A as the only possible option. Take this opinion with a grain of salt, since I did seem unsure on A. I tried to do a bit of research but I'm still iffy since B is also plausible. And I don't mind helping, but I am wrapping up for the day so any additional questions won't be answered until tomorrow. :)
no problem! thanks for all your help :D
