select the difference, (6x^2-7x^3)-(4x^2-9x^3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[6x^2-4x^2 = ?\]\[-7x^3-(-9x^3) = ?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x^2(1+x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2x ^{2}(1+x)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since they have the same exponents - you can just add/subtract the terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Already have the answer right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that isn't any of my answers, as following, A.) 4x^6 B.) 4x^5 C.) 2x^2-16x^3 D.) 2x^2+2x^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please refer to what I posted.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome, technically, the answer she gave was also correct, but it was in the factored form of the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whatever...it was a multiple choice question..so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So i was wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes because you have to combine like terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In terms of the question being asking, yes. but, 2x^2+2x^3 factored is 2x^2(x+1). It's the same value, but the question didn't want it in factored form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Had it right, it was just factored but if u simpily if u get \[2x ^{2}+2x ^{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok
