2x-y=3 and 3x=-3y-9

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

What values are you supposed to find?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Ok, so, for this, you start off by dividing the right side by 3

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

that's x=-y-3

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

so then, add 3 to both sides of that and subtract x from both sides. 3=-x-y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you supposed to add the together?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

iguess...@Mdhingra

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

so, 3=2x-y, and 3=-x-y

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

from there, multiply the one on the right by 01. -3=x+y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is kind of difficult...do you want the solution when you graph these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that makes sense @poppsiedoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea @Mdhingra

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

and now, elimination :D 0=3x

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

so, x = 0. In that case, y = -3

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Did you understand how I did that? :>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :D @poopsiedoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really tbh @poopsiedoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should use a GRAPHING CALCULATOR OR FOLLOW THE STEPS of ocean23,cuz i am not very good at it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meant poopsiedoodle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks @Mdhingra . i dont really understand it either :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome :D
