OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sugar and phosphate portion of the nucleotides are found _____ on the DNA twisted ladder.

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

any options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be the backbone of the DNA?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As segments of the rails Welcome to Open study ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is the backbone. The amino acids are the inside pieces that experience hydrogen bonding, they are directly attached to the sugars, which phosphate groups on the opposite side of the amino acid side.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"the amino acids are the inside pieces that experience hydrogen bonding." no, there aren't any amino acids in DNA, you mean nucleobases or nucleic bases.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq, yes sorry. I meant to, but did not, refer to those parts as the parts with amino groups, not as amino acids.
