A production manager tests 10 toothbrushes and finds that their mean lifetime is 450 hours. She then designs a sales package for this type of toothbrush. It states that consumers can expect the toothbrush to last approximately 460 hours. This is an example of what phase of inferential statistics? A. Probability-based inference B. Data organization C. Data analysis D. Data gathering My guess is analysis. Or gathering? This is so confusing.

toothbrushes to light bulbs...? The ops man is gathering data at the point of finding the bulb's mean life time... Designing the package and saying it'll last appx 460 hours sounds more like probability-based inference to me, since she is inferring, based off of a small sample, that all the bulbs will last... However, she did analyze the data as well... I would say B...
