The Sixth Amendment says that a person who is accused of a crime has the right to a jury trial. In a jury trial, regular citizens determine if the accused person is guilty or not guilty. Which of the following might happen if citizens did not have this right? The government might be able to send an accused person to jail for unfair reasons. It might be easier for suspects who are guilty of crimes to win their cases and go free. Police might not be able to arrest suspects for crimes, even if they had proper evidence. It might be impossible to keep records of everything that was said

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

We can rule out C. As stated, the 6th Amendment deals with trial by jury. D doesn't make sense. Court cases can still be recorded.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

This leaves us with A and B. I have a hard time believing the court system, or the government, would be the lenient on suspects.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think B but it still seems like it's not right.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

I just explained why B probably won't be the answer lol. I don't see the government letting suspects go so easily.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

Therefore, imo, A is the logical choice. The government would probably do all they can to know the truth.

Ok. Thank you
