ok, so, it's a 45, 45, 90 triangle, so the 2 legs are multiples of 1, whereas the 8 is a multiple of \(\sqrt{2}\). So, you're multiplying the sides of that triangle by 4\(\sqrt{2}\). So, the side in question is 4\(\sqrt{2}\).
