\(\Huge\color{red}\ast\) \(\Huge\mathcal{Welcome\ to\ Openstudy!}\) \(\Huge\color{red}\ast\) Did you mean to say "indicative OR subjunctive form? cx
yes. my bad.
It's okay, I should have known anyways. Let me tell you, this is one of the hardest things to do, see whether a verb has to be subjunctive or indicative, but I will try to explain... "The subjunctive mood is used to express everything except certainty and objectivity: things like doubt, uncertainty, subjectivity, etc." Based on what I said, what do you think indicative will express?
indicative sounds like it express certainty.. Right ??
Correct! So let us try to do this in steps. Try to see which sentences need the verbs conjugated in subjunctive form and which ones need it conjugated in indicative form. :)
Okay the first sentence since would have to be indicative form And the third would be subjunctive. But I can't quite grasp the second sentence. I have not seen the word decirnos before.
decirnos is when "they tell us"
I think it would be indicative, but I am not sure. I am not that good at identifying indicative and subjunctive. But maybe if we translate it into English, it might help: We all look for friends that always tells us the truth.
Okay so if I translate decirnos it would be decemos nos? Would I have to seperate decor and nos?
Decir
I think you might have to separate that. >.> I think they were trying to trick you honestly. cx
And here is the rules for subjunctive tense: -ar verbs: -e, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en -er and -ir verbs: -a, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an
Decamos nos?
I think the "nos" would be before the verb, and "decamos"? Hm...that verb had to be conjugated in indicative tense, remember? I just forgot the rules for the indicative tense and can't find it. ._.
Decir in indicative form wouldntit be digo?
I think that is subjunctive...I think decir is a stem-changing verb. >.>
Let me think about this, just hold on a second. :)
Todos buscamos amigos que siempre nos diga la verdad. This sounds right. >v>
Well because of the nos wouldn't it be digan
Yes, yes, sorry. /.\
Don't be sorry. Your helping me learn it :)
Yeah, I'm trying. (>v<)
Now the other two?
Okay, let me do it on paper first. One sec. ;)
Okay
I am not being able to figure out that first one. >.>
It's the le that is stumping me. I don't know if I should leave it as le, se , me or te
Maybe @gelidium can help with that one. He/she is good at Spanish. ;D
Let me try to do the third one. :)
1. Rolando tiene un auto que gusta mucho. Rolando has a likeable car. 2. Todos buscamos amigos que siempre nos digan la verdad. We seek friends that always tell us the truth. 3. Irene y José viven en una ciudad que tiene muchos museos. Irene y José live in a city that it has many museums. Thi is the correct subjunctive expressions. You can see that expressions use the word que before the verbal form que nos digan, que gusta, que tiene. It is the diference with the indicative when you read. Le is for she or he. Le dije a ella. I said to her. Les is for they. Les dije a ellos. I said to them. Me is for mi. Me dijo. He or She said me. Te is for you. Te dije. I told you. Se is for general ideas. I sekk more to explain later about se.
Good job @gelidium ! :D

You can see that the sense is different becuase the negative form is after the que word in the subjunctive verb. I think is correct more than my other answer.
