I have to simplify the equation that is in the picture.
we can't see stuff hosted on flvs' site. reupload it or post the question
okay one sec
try now
recall this property of radicals. Basically the stuff inside is like an x or y and the number outside is the coefficient. For example: \[5\sqrt{34}+2\sqrt{34}-4\sqrt{34}=3\sqrt{34}\]
okay, i know that its just im having trouble trying to solve it
k, then rewrite the statement.\[\large 5\sqrt7 + 12\sqrt6 - 10\sqrt7 - 5\sqrt6=5\sqrt7 - 10\sqrt7 + 12\sqrt6 - 5\sqrt6\]
okay, then ...don't you have to change it into a rational exponent
Not for this. Here, we just combine the like terms. It's exactly the same as the example above. the sqrt7's are like x, the sqrt6 are like y. You just combine the x and ys
oh okay that makes sense now , thanks alot for your help :)
I'm not leaving you alone until you get the right answer
i got it right thanks for helping
