OpenStudy (anonymous):

when a wire is made smaller, the resistance increases. which happens to the electric current

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I = V/R = voltage/resistance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when a wire is made smaller, the resistance decreases... \[R=\frac{ \rho * L }{ A } \ \ \ \ \ L=length, A=cross \ sectional \ area,\rho = resistivity\] so when you decrease resistivity you increase current flow

OpenStudy (radar):

when you say "smaller" you must elaborate......smaller in diameter or smaller in length, the resistance will change, If the length is shortened, indeed the resistance does decrease, however, the opposite is true if the diameter is made smaller.
