Apostrophes, how and when to use them? Teach me please.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Basically, when you add something like, "It's," it's short for, "It is." "It's" is possessive. "It's mine." "It's his." In any other case, you would use, "its," "OpCode hurt its reputation." "It hurt its leg." When you have something ending in an "S", just add the apostrophe. "That's Joseph Stephens' car!" Understand? (:

OpenStudy (opcode):

Not exactly. For example: I have seen: "The class’s hours." How does this work?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Take a look at this: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/621/01/ You add an "s" because its a plural.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

I have to go to sleep. I'll talk more about it tomorrow if you have any questions.

OpenStudy (opcode):

Ah, I see, thanks mate. :-)
