Kind of, a bit.
She had been given many ideas for the project by the class but used only one. Which of the following corrects this statement for active voice and maintains the same idea? She had been given many ideas for the project by the class, but she used only one. She had been given many ideas for the project by the class. She used only one. The class gave her many ideas for the project. Of them, only one was used. The class gave her many ideas for the project, but she used only one. do you understand this because i dont get it.
Do you want to know what the question is asking?
Bc I think I understand
Consider C and D, as they are in the active voice.

I'd say D.

I'll try.
I say C
My friend wished I was there to hear the speech. How would you correct this statement so that it is an appropriate use of subjunctive mood? My friend wished I were there to hear the speech. My friend wished I was there to then hear the speech. If I were there, then I would hear the speech. If I was there, then I would hear the speech.
i know that D is wrong
It is C because you usually have "were" after that "If I..." It is in subjunctive because you talk about what would have happened if the opposite of the actual action happened.
ok thx
You're welcome.
ok i only have 2 more
Which of these statements is written using passive voice? They earned about $1,000 at their fundraiser. Their fundraising on Friday raised about $1,000. They were given about $1,000 in the fundraiser. Their hard work led them to $1,000 in donations.
i know this one isnt D either
What do you think is the correct answer?
i thought it was B or D but i got D wrong
In passive voice, it looks like the object is more in focus than the subject. In A, B, and D, you see that the subject is actually doing something. Ex. "They earned..." In C, it doesn't really look like the subject is doing something, right?
I have to go now...good luck with your other problems!
Can I help with anything?
@dominiquebee72
yes one more thing.
Ok
Which of these statements reflects subjunctive mood? I wish it were possible to go to the movie tomorrow. If we go to a movie, will I be able to have popcorn? She hoped to go to the movie and have popcorn. He couldn't go to the movie without his wallet.
ik its not B
I'm bad with these, but I think A.
k thx
Yw is that all?
Please help me with this. Which sentence does not contain any errors in comma usage? A. You know, of course, that she used to dive for her college swim team. B. Believe it, or not Mom is going to dive from the high board. C. Nobody ever bothered, it seems to tell me that. D. I never thought she'd do it to tell the truth.

how so ??
It's asking which one has the adjective phrase, right?
The difinition of adjective is a word that describes a noun, and a phrase is pretty much just a part of a sentence, but not a full one
For at lest a decade can be scratched out, because we're the adjective, there's the noun. Next one, of her artistry there isn't really a noun here. Last one, on cardboard, again a noun but no adjective. A has a noun and an adjective, show (noun) , and gallery (adjective), gallery is describing what kind of show it is.
