y<3x-5 how do i do it?
probably draw the graph, then shade below it
y intercept = -5 (when the graph crosses the y axis)
you're slope is 3/1 (rise over run)
hmmm ok thanks!

Once you convert it into a line equation by replacing the less than with an equal sign, you graph it normally and pick two test points on either side. Plug the coords back into the inequality and whichever coord makes the expression true, then you shade that side. Just a tip for figuring out future problems.
'graph it normally' is not quite accurate. a dashed line ... a broken line ... not a solid line is used to represent 'not equal to'.
witch way would it be shaded tho?
you are given the information that y is less than the line ... if you know the y values that mark the line, what values of y are less then the line?
so negative?
negative ... is a direction i spose, so yeah, underneath the line
on a ti-84 do you know how i can make it do the shade?
