OpenStudy (grace111):

Carol has a rule for a sequence of numbers. Her rule is " The next number is the sum of the two previous numbers ." Use Carol's rule to write in the three missing numbers . ? , ? , ? , 0 , 1 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 , 8 .... Thanks :)

OpenStudy (tcy):

Fibonacci? 0, 0, 0, 0 ,1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Assuming that \[0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...\] is a trivial solution, we can rule it out even though it is a correct solution. It is more likely for this sequence to be following \[...-8, 5, -3, 2, -1, 1, 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...\] Assuming that the value 0 is the 0th term, then we can say that any term before it denoted -n is \[-n = n(-1^{n+1})\] So the answer here is 2, -1, 1
