Can i have some help please , a merchant changed oranges by apples at a 3:1 ratio, if he changed 42 docents of oranges, how many apples did he receive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am assuming that you mean to say dozens? So for every 3 oranges we have one apply. How do we go from 42 dozen oranges to apples given that information?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg you r right please forgive my grammar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It isn't a problem. So, what do you think we need to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So im thinking this equation 3/1times x equals 12x42?
