Not sure but i think its C if u plug in the numbers u get 3=3 not sure tho havent done math in a while

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Do you know how to approach this problem?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

@Briaa420

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry meant pre test lol

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Mm ;) kk xD Well, all you really need is the slope, when it's perpendicular you flip is over and multiply by -1. So, the perpendicular of 3 would be 1/3 * -1 = -1/3 Perp of 4/2 = 2/4 * -1 = -2/4 = -1/2 Or, 4/2 = 2, flip it, 1/2 and multiply by -1 -1 * 1/2 = -1/2 So given the equation y = 2X + 2, what is the slope? In y = \(\ \sf \color{blue}{m}x + \color{green}{b} \) \(\ \sf \color{blue}{m}\) is the SLOPE \(\ \color{green}{b} \) is the y intercept. Can you tell me what the slope is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope is -1/2

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

That would be the perpendicular, now if you wanted to skip a few steps then that's ok cx New slope is -1/2, yes. Now plug in what you know into: \(\ \sf y - y_1 = M(x - x_1) \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are we using the y-intercept from the original equation ?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

No, the new points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(6,3) ?

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

yes
