ok so you have to write it out because of the negitive sign, it makes it complicated so 2 negitives make a positive so first solve it without the negitive sign

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

When two negative numbers are multiplied then the product is positive. If a positive and a negative number multiply, then it is negative. I would use the order or operations, regardless that there is only one operation to follow. So you may want to set it up as: -2 x -2 x -2 x -2 x -2 Then follow the rule that I provided for you and multiply.

-2x-2x-2x-2x-2 4x4x-2 16x-2 -32

Substitute where x is with -3 since x= -3. You should then remember that this is a multiplication expression. So the expression should look like: -3(-3)^3 A common error, that people tend to make is that they multiply the numbers together and then work with the exponents. But remember that the exponents come first in the order of operations. So evaluate the -3^3, then multiply the product by -3.

This is something when you have to look at each of the options and then find what equals to 512.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=512

List the factors for each of the numbers and then find what numbers are common.

@dakotacheyennecollins I hope you are giving the questions that you are having a confusion with because it is important that you don't take answers from people also. Hope you understand and don't mind about it.
