What is the distance between point A and point B to the nearest tenth? A. 2.2 units B. 6.1 units C. 10.8 units D. 3.9 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Distance formula \[d =\sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^2+(y _{2}-y _{1})^2}\]

So what are your coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You may want to use the distance formula. However, don't bother. Too many formulas to remember in math, right? Draw a triangle and find the sides of it. The distance will be the hypotenuse. The Pythagorean formula, however, should be committed to memory!

Alright, so you have A and B. A coordinates are, from the graph (given) = (-4,-2) B coordinates = (5, 4) |dw:1398483227728:dw| Just plug and chug now :p
