how can a electron be in two places at once

OpenStudy (theeric):

Hi! I really don't know much about this area of physics, but no one else has helped so I want to offer my input. The electron doesn't exist in multiple places, I don't think. I think it has a probability of being in each location, and so you consider the cases of the electron being in each location.

But much of this subatomic physics and quantum physics is a mystery to me, so I can't be sure.

it depends. what's your grade?
