OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

This video basically teaches you everything that you need to know about the future tense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMebcP82tWs Remember the conjugation of "avoir" (to have)? "J'ai" (I have), "Tu as" (You have), "Il a" (He has), "Nous avons" (We have), "Vous avez" (You have), "Ils ont" (They have). To form the future tense, use the LAST SYLLABLE of the conjugated form of "avoir" (to have), and attach it to the LAST "R" in the verb. "Manger" (to eat) -> "Je mangerai" (I will eat), cf. "J'ai" (I have) "Prendre" (to take) -> "Ils prendrons" (We will eat), cf. "Nous avons" (We have) Irregular verbs: "Être" (to be) -> "Je serai" (I will be) "Faire" (to do) -> "Je ferrai" (I will do) "Voir" (to see) -> "Je verrai" (I will see) "Vouloir" (to want) -> "Je voudrai" (I will want) And much more irregular verbs.

its still confusing to me can you help me at least with the first one? @kc_kennylau

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Come on! It is not confusing. Kenny gave you a lot of information. We can help you if you give it a try. Future for 1st group verbs (chanter) goes : je chanter\(\color {red} {ai}\) tu chanter\(\color {red} {as}\) il/elle chanter\(\color {red} {a}\) nous chanter\(\color {red} {ons}\) vous chanter\(\color {red} {ez}\) ils/elles chanter\(\color {red} {ont}\) Future for 2nd group verbs (finir) goes : je finir\(\color {red} {ai}\) tu finir\(\color {red} {as}\) il/elle finir\(\color {red} {a}\) nous finir\(\color {red} {ons}\) vous finir\(\color {red} {ez}\) ils/elles finir\(\color {red} {ont}\) aller and faire are irregular, in that they use a different root: j' \(\color {blue} {ir}\)\(\color {red} {ai}\) tu \(\color {blue} {ir}\)\(\color {red} {as}\) etc. je \(\color {blue} {fer}\)\(\color {red} {ai}\) (not ferrai, as Kenny wrote) tu \(\color {blue} {fer}\)\(\color {red} {as}\) etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh its so easy now!!! thanks to the both of you!! @kc_kennylau @Vincent-Lyon.Fr

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Colours always win :)
