OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Who was a significant leader from a social reform movement, and what did he or she do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can help with that one just give me a sec.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay There was a lady social reformer in the progressive era, her name was Jane Addams. she was very wealthy and chose to spend it helping people. What she did was she bought a redbrick house it was huge, she cleaned it up and she named it the "Hull house" the house was in a "slum" (bad neighborhood) but she wanted to be near the people who were struggling. she made it a house where children and adults could come take all kinds of classes, get help for their children, exercise, sing, dance, and do a lot of other things. People could live there, go eat. She worked to get child-labor laws passed making it illegal for children to work long hours. Chicago built it's first playground because of her, and she helped create more schools in Chicago, she just did a lot. Hope this helps.

Thank you! I guess nobody answered this question from before so maybe you could help me? Sorry for asking so many questions. Which social movement had a greater impact on the other E Women's Rights on Anti-Slavery or Anti-Slavery on Women's Rights? Explain why.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm gonna say Women's rights on Anti-Slavery only because the women had been in the Anti-Slavery movement since it started and they helped spread the movement. There were hundreds of them, they held conventions, and since they weren't allowed to vote they created petitions, and launched campaigns to get signatures.
