what are the zeros of the polynomial function f(x)=x(x-4)(x+9)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

The zeros of a function \(f(x)\) are the values of \(x\) that make \(f(x) =0\) The zero product property says that if \[f(x) = x(x-4)(x+9) = 0\]then we can find the zeros by setting each of those product terms equal to 0 and solving for the values of \(x\) that make them so. Obviously, one of them is \(x=0\). You can do the other two :-)
