OpenStudy (angelwings996):

Check my answer? Which of these lines contains the clearest example of dialect in poetry? A. "By the stream & o'er the mead..." B. "To such a deep delight 'twould win me..." C. "But oft, in lonely rooms, and "mid the din..." D. "What then? Poor beastie, thou maun live!" My answer is D. Is this correct?

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

I was thinking between B or D

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

all seem to have dialect in it

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

D sounds plausible, I can see it between B or D or either

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

Well, does one have clear dialect in it? I'm not really positive on dialect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D has Scottish dialect, from poem by Robert Burns to a field mouse

OpenStudy (angelwings996):

That's wht I was thinking. I knew D was from Robert Burns. I just wanted to make sure D was the clearest one

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I think D is the only clear example of dialect.
