Work and power are different because work involves force and distance while power involves force and velocity. work involves distance and mass while power involves distance and time. work involves energy and time while power involves force and mass. work involves velocity and time while power involves energy and force

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

work is= force*distance power=work/time

This is a stupid question - It has been posted here before so I suppose it must feature in some scheduled learning system. They have different dimensions - they do not represent the same TYPE of function They are as different as mass and weight, time and length, More specifically they differ in the same way as distance/speed, speed/acceleration, charge / current. Power is the rate of change of work with time, the RATE of doing work The answer is a - (I don't normally give answers but take this as a freebie for what it is worth )
