I would like someone to explain a diagram to me:

What do you want to be explained?

In the first line of the explanation, where it explains that the area of the triangle is equal to:\[\frac{1}{2} = (y _{1} + y_{2})(x_{1}-x_{2})\] How or why does (y1 + y2) work? Wouldn't it be (y1-y2)? Thanks

Nevermind, I got it. I thought (y1+y2) referred to the height of triangle ABC, but it refers to the sum of the bases of trapezium ABQP.

I also thank you, you save from reminiscing my calculus lessons.. :)
