Question Help?? Quick ! MEDAL! question attached
What is the domain of f(x)? -3 ≤ x < 1 -3 < x ≤ 1 -4 < y ≤ 2 -4 ≤ y < 2
Look at the graph. The line extends from -3 to 1. So x is in (-3,1]. The open circle on the line over x=-3 means that -3 is not included.
-3 < x <=1
Is that A or B
B. The little bar under the < means <=, "less than or equal to". The < without the little _ under it means "less than". So -3 < x <= 1 means "negative three is less than x, and x is less than or equal to 1"
You should read a primer on reading inequalities.. They will be useful when you take more math (which you will have to do for sure)... GOod job so far. :)
Im way past that ... i just never seen someone use <= before ! thanks for the help btw
yw :) and cool yeah <= is easier to type because you have to use special syntax to get \(-3 < x \le 1\) on here
