ratios are \(1:\sqrt{3}:2\) your long side is \(18\) so the short sides is \(\frac{18}{\sqrt3}=\frac{18\sqrt3}{3}=9\sqrt3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exept that is wrong, because \(\frac{18}{3}=6\) so it is really \(6\sqrt3\)!!

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Notice that the longer leg is sqrt(3) times longer than the shorter leg. That means the shorter leg is sqrt(3) times shorter than the longer leg. Divide the long leg by sqrt(3) to find the short leg.
