Can you state the values of displacement, velocity and acceleration in a vector?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in 1d when it is in the form of x=at^2+bt+c

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

x is displacement dx/dt is velocity and d2x/dt2 is the acceleration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, and as a vector displacement is ds = (dx,dy,dz) velocity is ds/dt acceleration is (d/dt)(ds/dt) all as vector quantities

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As highlighted above, by differentiating the displacement vector you will arrive at the velocity vector, differentiate the velocity vector to arrive at the acceleration vector. All the results are vectors and the magnitude of each vector can be calculated using normal vector algebra, the square root of the the sum of squares of each component.

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

The quantity displacement is defined in vector as the displacement in certain direction such as tom walking 3 miles north and similarly velocity associated with this is velocity how fast he is walking for example in 1 kilometer per hour to the north and as acceleration to when we have direction associated with quantity then we called this quantity a vector
