OpenStudy (pengy120):

so i basically just want to know what to do...like should i cross multiply or...? if the exchange rate for 1 US dollar is 1.5 Canadian dollars, how many US dollars will Margie get for 81 Canadian dollars?

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

You can always take things to be really simple if you're not sure what to do.

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

For example, if someone had 3 canadian dollars, its apparent they'd have 2 us dollars right?

OpenStudy (pengy120):

yeah

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

So if you think about how you get from one to the other, then doing larger numbers becomes easier. You divided 3/1.5 to get 2. Or 1.5/1.5 to get 1.

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

So if you want to figure out for a big number, you do the same thing. 81/1.5

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I'm guessing its going to be about 50.

OpenStudy (pengy120):

oh okay is that really all i have to do? man i feel silly now..i thought it be some huge ordeal

OpenStudy (pengy120):

its 54 XD close

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Nah. It's not too tough. Again, if a question ever looks tough, just compare it to simpler things.

OpenStudy (pengy120):

thank you!

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

No problem ^.^ That the last one?

OpenStudy (pengy120):

yep! have a good night...or day..or..yah, bye! thanks

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Alright. Good night ^.^
