Describe a situation in which the probability of two events is independent. You can use events from your personal or professional life. Formulate and answer a question about the probability of these two events. Repeat the process with dependent events.

What 2 probability events that you dont need the first to happen for the second to happen needed can you think of in your personal or professional life?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure what kind of example to use.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anything with a probability of happening or not happening

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks.. well i will think of something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh also you need 2 that rely on each other here is a example but dont use it it doesnt apply to your life: If here are 2 red marbles and 4 blue marbles in a bag what are the chances of pulling a red then a blue? See the first needs to happen for the second to happen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 2/6 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No you need to multiply them if its dependent on eachother if its independent you need to multiply. So the example would be 8/36 or 2/9 if simplified

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay. i see now. thanks.
