Discriminant of x^2 -6x +4=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need the value of x

Wow ok that's confusing.

To find the discriminant the formula is \[b ^{2}-4ac\] Your A would be 1 because coefficient of x^2 is 1, B is -6, and C is 4 Plug that into the formula you get \[(-6)^{2}-4(1)(4)\] 36-16 =20
