Time may be measured in seconds If you look at all the features of a wave its period, amplitude, frequency, wavelength, phase WHICH of those is measured in seconds? Anything measured in something else (e.g. metres, metres/s etc) CANNOT be the answer.

Frequency is the measure of how many wave crests pass a fixed point in a second.
