Check my answer on a Victorian Age English Question Which excerpt from Matthew Arnold’s “Dover Beach” most obviously symbolizes the impermanence of life? "on the french coast, the light Gleams and is gone... Where the sea meets the moon-blanched land/ Listen! The sea is calmtonight/The tide is full, the moon lies fair. For the world, which seems To lie before us like a land of dream. <---
