OpenStudy (andijo76):

Identify each of the following as examples of (1) nominal, (2) ordinal, (3) discrete, or (4) continuous variables: a. A poll of registered voters as to which candidate they support b. The length of time required for a wound to heal when a new medicine is being used c. The number of televisions within a household d. The distance first-year college women can kick a football

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the difference between those? Like what is nominal, ordinal, discrete, and continuous?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nominal is like an ID, ordinal tells you the position, discrete number only have one value, and continuous number is like a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example, C is discrete because you can count it, and that number is not going to change. D is continuous because the number can vary based on other factors. Try the other two :)
