|dw:1399785790616:dw| So we go to where x = -2 on that x-axis...and go up to the line...then we go from that line over to the y-axis to see what y equals at that point...and it looks like it equals...?

C?

What situation does the graph best represent? A. Charlie made a graph to show how many hours he studied History in a 5-day school week. B. Jamal made a graph to display how much rain (in inches) fell during a 5-minute period. C. Frances made a graph to chart the growth (in meters) of her dog over 5 consecutive days. D. Jake made a graph to display the number of pizzas eaten by his family over a 5-hour interval.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Alright so the key here...is to see that the graph begins to show a straight line..but falls down at the end.... so we need to look at our choices and see what will NOT seem like a complete straight line situation... B) how much rain fell in a 5 minute period...well that starts going up and up...but then all of a sudden at 5 minutes the rain is down to just 1 inch? well that doesn't sound right...so B is out...

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

C) her dog would grow bigger and bigger...and then on the 5th month would it just drop down to a pound? lol I hope not! so that is out too!

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So I believe this would boil down to A On the 5th day (friday) he just studies for an hour...makes sense lol
