OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

A polynomial like that will have as many roots as the highest degree term (i.e. the term with the highest power). The term with the highest power is \(\large x^3\), so there will be 3 roots (counting multiplicities).

B? i thought it was 4 :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you check this one for me, i put D

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

yes D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yayy!

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

do you know how to do polynomial long division?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope :/

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

I could attempt to explain it but I am not sure which notation you use. When I do long division, say I'm dividing 7645 by 54, I would write:|dw:1399915689284:dw|

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

Actually I think this video will explain it better than I could through Open study: https://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra2/polynomial_and_rational/dividing_polynomials/v/polynomial-division
