Alright, I don't want someone to tell me the answer, just want help to start it? :) 3z^2+12z/z^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll help you if you help me :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you need a common denominator...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. @TheKingofClaws So z would be the common denominator, right? @teacherman79

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope try \[z^4 or z^3 \] if you cancel the z's in the second term...z^3 will be the common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you don't cancel the z's in the second term z^4 will be the common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so what's next?
