Find the derivative of 2sint+sin2t. I think the answer is 2cost+cos2t(2) but the answer is wrong.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

is that a 2sin(t) + sin²(t) or a 2sin(t) + sin(2t) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2sin(t) + sin(2t)

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

yeah, then what you got was correct. did you try reordering it? http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=derivative+of+2sin%28t%29+%2B+sin%282t%29

I mean the actually question asks to find the velocity of the particle when t=3secs. They give me the equation s(t)=2sin(t) + sin(2t). So I found the first derivative and plug in 3, but i dont get the answer -0.06 m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, i guess so. thanks anyways :P

Would I put my calc in rads?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

yes! lol xD always use radians in calculus class XP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is in radians thoughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooo, i got it, lol thanks :)

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

lol xD glad I could help
