Okay, you'll first need to factorise y^2 + y + 6.
You'll get (y+3) (y+2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So your fraction will be \[\frac{ (y-1) }{ (y+3)(y+2) } \times \frac{ (y+3) }{ (y+6) }\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Sorry, that's y-6.
The (y+3) will cancel out. And so you'll be left with the expression given in C.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ahhh okay can you help me with one more ^_^

\[-4(x+5)=-1(x+1)\]
\[-4x-20=-x-1\]
\[-4x+x=-1+20\]
